I have documentation that I called the Hotels.com automated system 5 days prior to cancel my booking.
They "have no record of this" and therefore I must pay my first nights lodging.
"We will however refund you the second nights lodging" That was two months ago and still nothing.
My next action will be through the courts.
I agree with the above comments - these people are fraudulent

I set up my Rewards in October 2013 for a trip to Rockport, Texas. Booked another trip December 30, 2013 to Biloxi, MS and was told by Eric that my trip would be added to My Rewards. My next trip booked 1-15-14 to San Antonio was included on My Rewards. I noticed via the email that I was not given credit for the Biloxi, MS travel. I have made several call to the Customer Service and was told I had no recourse. Decided to send one last inquiry to see if there is a way to override this snafu by Hotels.com and put my Biloxi trip on My Rewards account. Also, it took forever to have my email corrected and even though I received a confirmation 1-15-14 via good email address, on that notice in the body of the confirmation, my email is still incorrect. I have a better understanding how the My Rewards work, so just checking to see if there's a goodwill gesture at Hotels.com on my behalf. Regards, Carolyn

Liars!! Over the years I've used Hotels.com to book hotels for my travels. My last reservation may be my last with this company due to the lies and lack of professionalism displayed by their customer service people in SOUTH AMERICA. First, why can't I speak to a person in the United States??? Second, the major problem is the LIES the customer service representative told me in order to try to get me off the line.
--I booked a hotel on hotel.com. for a stay in Paris.
--Room was paid for immediately online. No refunds
--In Paris the hotel (GRAND HOTEL AMELOT), insisted hotel.com didn't pay and I must pay on the spot
--I complained of course. The hotel said they would look into it and email the information and submit a refund if needed.
--Called Hotel.com 4 times.
*1st time - call back out computers/systems are down
*2nd time - send us a copy of your bill
*3rd time - After my insistence, the representative called the hotel in Paris. She said no one there speaks english. (LIES!) I called the hotel 5 minutes earlier and someone spoke to me in English!
*4th time - I asked for a supervisor ------
Supervisor conversation: After the supervisor twice threatened to hang up on me because I insisted
she call the hotel and I was NOT going to send any additional paperwork to Hotels.com she
finally called the hotel. She did speak to someone in ENGLISH who indicated the additional
charge was a mistake and a refund will be issued in 3-7 business days.
I asked the supervisor to send me an email confirmation regarding this new resolution and she
said she did not have access to email. (LIES!). "If you have a computer, you have access to
email!" She insisted she didn't and refused to send me an email. Gave me a case ID #
WHY ALL THE LIES??????
--5 long distant calls to the Paris Hotel, 4 calls to Hotels.com, and two weeks later a refund might be issues. I hope so. If not.......

This company operates fraudulently - by advertising room rates which are false. I booked rooms in the UK at a price stated as \"including fees and taxes\". On arrival at the facility I had to pay additional tax of 20%. A month later I have still not been reimbursed. This is not the only case; I learned from the proprietor that they had other guests who had been misled by hotels.com in the same way. One had travelled from Australia and was faced with an additional charge of over £600.00!
Do not use this company - you have been warned!
