Sunday, December 22, 2013 my mother went to Lowe's in Ypsilanti Michigan. After spending quite some time evaluating the dishwashers, she decided on one. There would be home delivery/installation and haul away of the old dishwasher. At the time of purchase the sales person told us they had the dishwasher in stock , but because it was Sunday someone would call and set up a delivery in the next 2 business days. My mother was fine with that. Within 1 hour of leaving the Lowe's store we received a call that the delivery people were backed up and they did not know when the dishwasher would be able to be delivered. There were numerous calls to the Lowe's in Ypsilanti Michigan before the delivery contractor called stating that he was the only one who did delivery and installation. My mother who is on Dialysis and who's schedule has a time constraint and she is only available certain days of the week. I too have a time constraint schedule and is not readily available. Finally after going back and forth the contractor came out to install the dishwasher on Saturday, January 10, 2014.. But when he got ready to install the dishwasher he could not install it. He said that he could not hook it up the way Sears had hooked the old dishwasher. He also told my mother that it would be another 300.00 and an electrician would need to come and re wire before this one could be installed. My mother told him take the new dishwasher back and to put the old one in the garage. Well he left and took the old dishwasher with him. I am very disgusted with the service and how they treat their customers. And by reading these other reviews it is looking like there is a pattern on how they treat their customers especially the elderly.

I have been trying to order a lawn tractor from Lowes online for 24 hours. Evidently, their website has been flagged from fraud alerts by Visa. Their website pretty much sucks. There is no message that tells me that a transaction has been declined. It just blanks out the fields and stops. I also had an incorrect phone number because I entered the dashes. THe form doesn\'t accept dashes, but hte page never tells you. You have to figure it out.
Then I called the store in Fayetteville, GA to try to order the lawn tractor. Another whole set of poor customer service process. Whoever heard of a customer calling a company wanting to spend a large sum of money, and two customer service persons aren\'t able to close a sale. I had to give my phone number and they\'ll call me back because someone else is using the terminal that they need.
Is this 1975? Maybe it is for Lowes, not other online technology savvy merchants. If this tractor wasn\'t $150 cheaper at Lowes, I\'d be a Sears or Home Depot by now. I\'ll remember this on my next purchasing choice.

Lowes advertises that same day service for water heaters is available if ordered before 12 noon. *Call 1-877-GO-LOWES before noon and have it installed the same day. Call after noon and receive next-day installation.* We called THURSDAY at 8am and before purchasing the water heater asked specifically if it would be delivered the same day. Christy assured us that it would. At 12 noon we get a call from the installer saying they can't deliver it before the next day!! We called Lowes and asked if they could find someone else to install it like promised. We received a phone call at 5pm telling us the first available install was MONDAY. 5 DAYS LATER! I have repeatedly called and left msgs for Mr. Lynn Barlow Service Production Manager of Install Sales to contact me concerning this horrible experience. He has not returned my phone call. Lowes not only lied to us, they refuse to accept responsibility.

I bought a washer Monday morning 09/12/2016. I was first told they would deliver late afternoon. I see patients from 5:00 p.m. on every week day so they promised to come early Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday afternoon someone called and told me the machine would be delivered Thursday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. At 11:30 a.m. someone called and told me there were problems and they are late but are leaving the store. I reminded her that I have to shower and leave my home by 4:30 p.m. She promised to be at my home before then. We will see.

We had a $10,000 project install to be completed. I orderd tile and carpet. I had to do a second order for the tile on the bathrooms, they measured,and my husband paid for it online. No where was he instructed to get a plumber to re-install the toilets.I went down to the store in Port Orange, Fl. and spoke to the manager. He said he could not get a plumber in till the next day when it was 10:00 am when the guys finished and they the tilers said no you have to pay Lowes the money and they will find you a plumber. I said WHAT YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING, NO ONE INFORMED US, NO WHERE IS IT WRITTEN THAT i HAVE TO PAY FOR THE PLUMBER IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED WITH THE SERVICE. THE STORE MANAGER SAY HE HAS NO ONE TO COME IN AND INSTALL THE TOILETS TILL TOMORROW!!!!! i SAID NO WAY THERE IS A SINGLE MOM AND A DAUGHTER UP IN MY UNIT. HE SAID NO WAY CAN I GET SOMEONE. i SAID YOU ARE CRAZY I CANNOT LEAVE THIS MOTHER UPSTAIRS WITH OUT A TOILET, AT LEAST ONE BEING INSTALLED.THEY DID NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! i HAD TO SPEND $256.00 TO HIRE MY PEOPLE TO PUT THEM IN! On Monday, may 6, 2013, i went to your Portage, Indiana store #1778 and purchased a new gas drier to be delivered, installed and the old one to be removed and carried away. Sales#S1778LJ 1686372 Trans# 10882062 05-06-13. I requested the drier to be delivered on Saturday since I work Mon-Fri 8-5. Friday, May 10, 2013 at 9:30 PM I receive an automated call giving me my two hour delivery window for the next day...7-9 PM. If I had wanted the drier delivered in the middle of the night I would have had it delivered on Tuesday after I got off work.
The time turned out to work for me since my best friend\\\\\\\'s brother was hospitalized in critical condition and she needed the moral support. I did leave her side to be home well before the scheduled delivery time of 7:00 PM. I arrived home at 6:00 PM, May 11, 2013, and there was a message on my home voice mail stating that they were going to deliver the drier earlier than planned. First once a delivery time is set you do not change the time unless you have the agreement of the other party, since I was not at home at the time of the call, you did not have my agreement. Second, when I called the number that was left on the message it went to voice mail I did leave a message to let them know that I was home waiting for the delivery of my drier. they never returned my call. At 7:00 PM no drier, at 8:00 PM no Drier, at 9:00 Still no drier. I emailed the Portage Store at 9:30 PM explaining the situation. I requested to be contacted by phone. When I had not heard from them by 10:15 AM 5-12-2013, I called the store requesting to speak to the manager. He could not be found. I left my name and phone number to be so he would call me back it is now 10:55 AM. I guess you don\\\\\\\'t have a manager in the store today, since I am still waiting. If the drier is not delivered and installed by 2:00 PM today, by 2:05 I will be in my vehicle driving to Lowe\\\\\\\'s for a full refund, And I will take my money to either Sears which is next door to your Portage store or Menards which is across the street. I can not say it has been a pleasure doing business with you.

The Lowes Store in Lufkin Texas along with it's lying assistant managers (Jimmy and Byron Cutee) is the saddest excuse of a retail store I have ever seen in my life. And then the customer Service dept available to call and complain are ever worse...a supervisor by the name of Davis (gave his id as #1796096 -which I am sure was a lie to)

I bought a washer & drier from Chester VA. Was told it would be delivered Tuesday. Never delivered because Lowes gave the wrong number to delivery. Called and asked where they were. Was told my order was cancelled. I waited, no delivery. I called to see why, oops!! It never got put on the truck Was offered 10% off and the old ones taken away. Was informed Wednesday it would be delivered between 10:00 and 12:00, they came at 12:50, LATE. They pulled off the washer, ok, pulled the cover off the drier and you could see them messing with it and one said the top is twisted. I called Lowes AGAIN, and they said to take the drier and use it, NOT, did not want anything damaged in my house. The manager said it would be delivered FIRST THING FRIDAY MORNING. RIGHT!! The excuse this time was the old one wasn't delivered back to Lowes that night to be logged in so they couldn't put another one on the truck. This Lowes is getting beyond stupid. Now again, it's supposed to be delivered first thing SATURDAY. Should I believe them this time. NOT! Worst store ever.

Very bad experience in the carpet department today. Proceed in the store to purchase 80 square yards of carpet for one of my apartments today. i proceed to the carpet department asked the staff that was sitting at the desk to grab a pencil and paper and follow me over to the roles of carpet that they have in stock i showed the gentleman which carpet i wanted to purchases proceed to give him the cuts sizes on each room. 12 x 12.6 , 12 x 16.2 , 12 x 15.3 excetera .He proceed to start cutting the carpet i explained that i will pay for the carpet in full and would be picking it up in a few hours.We went to the desk to write up the order and pay for it . He started writing the carpet sizes down on the order 12 x13 . 12 x17 , 12 x 16 i stopped him and explained those were not the sizes i have given him . He told me that the carpet i sold by the foot and he had to round it up to the next number. I just shook my head in disbelief i explained to him that it was buying carpet not lumber carpet normally sold by the square yard or square foot.He was very rood to me i explained that why there were all the numbers 1 threw 12 on the tape between the foot increments. i just walked away in disbelief . Went to the service desk and asked for the store manager. He asked me politely what the problem was i explained what had happen in the carpet department and i was not interested in purchasing 3 to 4 extra yards of carpet i just because the man in the carpet department did not know how to figure out square feet . and charge accordingly . he picked up the phone and called the carpet department to talk to him listening to the conversation the so called manager did not have a clue either. Just walked out went to a real carpet store better price purchased the sizes i asked for PLEASE ask questions before you buy from the big box stores.

Some of the reviews I read are explanation of the same poor customer service I have experienced several times with Lowes just this year alone. I had inexperienced people tell me the type of carpet I needed and it was all wrong, then the installation never happened. I completely got my money back and got a carpet co. to do the job. Now since May 17 of this year I have needed to install an oven unit and have paid the money to start the job, but nobody has even called me about the job. I have called the Corp office and complained and still nothing(today is June 15) almost a month later; no one. They really don't care and are understaffing themselves with cuts. Home Depot here I come.

I am a great customer of Lowes, but I can't seem to get deliveries done when promised out of New Bern. Every order is either changed or rescheduled. This morning I was promised a Sheetrock order, discussed yesterday, was purchased a week ago on the 15th, this morning I'm told it's now coming in the afternoon, causing me to have to pay $540 in labor for 6 guys just standing around. This can't keep happening.

PurchaseD a Washer #640798 and Dryer from Lowes Warrington PA...
The Washer is creating a Banging Noise every time it goes into a Wash or Rinse Cycle. Called LG 800 2143 0000.... Brenda advises it is a water pressure problem. I advised her that since 1976 through to July 14th 2015, I've had GE,Maytag and Whirlpool Washers in place and NEVER had a problem with banging noises.. Then in mid July 2015 when the Washer was delivered and hooked up...PROBLEM WITH BANGING PIPE NOISE.
I CLAIM THE SHUTOFF VALVE IN THE WASHER IS DEFECTIVE...LG, HAS TURNED A DEAF EAR....I WILL CONTINUE TO PURSUE...!

My wife & I purchased a LG dryer from Lowes Spring Texas store on 8/8/17. We were told that delivery would be 8/9/17. On the morning of 8/9 we were told delivery would be between 1-2pm. At 12.30 we were told that the delivery would be between 3-5pm. At 5-15 I called the delivery people to find out the status. Could not get thru. After serveral calls I got a Lowes person at the store, was told they would find out the problem. As of this time (8/10/17) I have still not heard anything. This is the WORST customer service I have EVERY had. I am wainting for a answer to this problem, if none is given I will be forced to cancel and go somewhere else. Their is a Home Depot next door to Lowes. Lesson learned DON,T SHOP LOWES, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS.

I'm writing this on behalf of my great grandma. Recently she was shopping at one of your stores in Nashville,TN.(Dickerson Pike/?). She is in her late 70's and has to use a motorized cart to get around due to her health. She had the items in her little cart and was in the checkout line and there was a large man ahead of her acting very irratic; her words,"doing a nasty dance, cursing laughing loud. He acted like he was crazy; like he was on somethin'"and he turned around and started laughing and talking to her, but she said she wanted nothing to do with him. My grammy is a quiet, very proper and demure woman. He loudly, laughingly commented on the hat she was wearing and she got fed up and quietly but straight forward asked him if there was something wrong with him or did he need to get some help.He just laughed and got louder.She said she was getting scared so she looked away and tried to ignore him. She said moments later she heard an abrupt noise and about the time she looked he had grabbed a man wearing a red by his arm and pulled him way off the ground by his arm and grabbed him and squeezed him. She said she and the other customers could see he was squeezing him very tight so he couldn't catch his breath. He tried to struggle to get free, but the big man wouldn't let him go for the longest time. I couldn't believe what she was telling me. I asked who the guy was in the red vest and she said she understood/guessed that he worked at your store. I asked grammy if the man had done or said something to the man who grabbed him and she said no, that the whole time(about 10 mins.)he had just been standing behind the cashier watching what she(cashier)was doing just minding his own business. Grammy said when the big man finally stopped squeezing him and let him go the man stumbled backwards and walked back and stood where he had been before. Grammy said he was trying to act like nothing happened, but it was obvious to her that the man who got grabbed was hurt by the way he was holding his arm and shoulder. She said it looked like he was shocked and very scared. Then the man who hurt him went back to acting irratic and laughing then finally paid for his things and left the store. She said she felt so sorry for the hurt man and asked him if he was ok and she said he kinda frouned and shook his head but didn't answer. That whole incident scared her to death. She was only a couple feet away when it happened. She said when she left the building and was waiting for my uncle to drive around to pick her up the lady behind her in line came out and asked if she was alright and she replied she was "astonished" that had happened and that with all the customers that were so close by that anyone of them could have been hurt by that crazy man. Grammy and the lady she was talking to agreed that the police would likely be called, but they stayed outside for a while, but none ever showed up.This has been on my Grammy's mind since it happened; she brought up the subject a number of times. She had me call the store a week ago and ask about the situation and how it was being handled. They (a manager/not store mgr.)told me that they were aware of it and assured "us" that it was being taken care of internally, but wasn't allowed to discuss it. Does "internally" mean that you(Lowe's) didn't contact law enforcement? If you didn't that is shameful. My Grammy will never shop at your stores again; she's scared and has made her mind up about that. I absolutely am convinced that what she witnessed was bodily/criminal assault. I will find out if this was reported to help you uphold your reputation as a safe, family friendly place for consumers to shop worry free of bodily harm or threat. I hope it has or soon will be reported. If not, I feel it to be my civic duty to the community to do so.No customer should ever have to be concerned while shopping; especially the elderly, like my Grammy. Thank you.

I am a veteran and I feel that I am discriminated against because I do not have a VA ID card. In order to get one you must sign up for the free benefits which includes medical services etc. I served in the US Navy for 6 years and just because I don't have the ID card issued by the VA I cannot get a 10% discount. I elected to pay my own medical bills and not rely on the Federal Government to pay for it, saving taxpayers monies. My driver's license states that I am a veteran but Lowes will not accept that. This is not fair and they will not accept anything but one of those cards.Veterans that rely on the government can get the discount but if you elect not to use the VA you get nothing.

I am always pleased with the service I receive from Lowes. However today (5/30/16) I went to Lowes store #1161, 12200 Lake Underhill Road, Orlando Florida and was VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Went to purchase things to help my daughter with home repairs. I purchased a total of 27 bags of red mulch along with other items. An sales associate named Angel, garden center, disappointed me with customer service, I got his attention because he was available person, others were helping customers, as he was headed toward me another customer stopped him as he passed her. Not a problem, but the associate walked away with the customer and didn't even look at me to indicate just a moment or let another associate know I needed help. After 30/45 minutes. with the customer, Angel came back to me and I told him the problem with the situation just happened. He told me that there were 3 other associates that I could've gotten help from, and I told him no because they were helping other customers. He looked around, asked me what I needed help with and I told him never mind because I was disappointed and I will figure things out. Angel didn't attempt to apologize. I have never had this type of service from Lowes, however I live in Gainesville Florida. Training / RETRAING would help. I am still going to call. Word of mouth isn't good for any business no matter the size. if I could remove the ONE STAR I WOULD.

My husband and I purchased a Troy-Built riding lawn mower January 25, 2014.We paid cash for it.We didn't actually use the mower untill April, due to the grass still low from winter. In May, after 2 uses, the mower's battery was dead, and it was spewing gas, and wouldn't start.We brought the mower back, it was repaired and after, In September, same problem. We were asked if the mower was lkeft in the rain.Really, no, it is garage kept.They kept my mower for almost 3 weeks, and I finally called and they said it had been back and they failed to call me. We picked up the mower, this time, it broke again, same problem and I'n done dealing with repairs. I feel like Lowes is trying to have my warrenty run out. I have never had any problems with Lowes and I am appalled at the unprofessiopnal way that this is being handled.I am going to report this to Coorperate and I would appreciate some satisfaction. I would like another mower or my entire purchase refunded to me.

After many years of purchasing items from Lowes, to include building a house, I purchased a vinyl fence which installed incorrectly to begin with. I have had a person from Lowes out here four different times to correct problems. They incorrectly built a new double gate and never fixed the first problem, which was that the gates would not open properly. They never leveled the ground where the gates open. I have been trying to get someone out here for over two weeks an I am repeatedly told that the manager will be out this week. To date no phone call and no manager that is supposed to handle this stuff. My fence is still under warranty and if this problem is not corrected in the next two weeks, I will demand a refund and Lowes can have the fence, Enough is enough.
